How the Saju compatibility calculator works
Saju turns a birth date and time into four pillars (year, month, day, hour). Each pillar has a heavenly stem and an earthly branch tied to the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. The calculator lines up two such charts and looks at three things.
- Day master relationship: whether the two central energies support each other or pull apart.
- Five elements balance: whether one person supplies an element the other lacks, or whether the same element is doubled.
- Combinations and clashes: which pillars combine or collide, shown as strengths and points to handle with care.
Using it
- Open the compatibility calculator.
- Enter your birth date, gender and birth hour, then the same for your partner.
- If you do not know a birth hour, choose "Unknown". The reading then relies on the year, month and day pillars.
- If someone was born between 11:30 PM and 1:30 AM, you can switch on the late-night (Ja-si) option to split the date at midnight.
- Press Analyze and keep the screen open until the result appears.
How to read the score
The love match score summarises the calculated relationships. It is a reference point, not a verdict on whether a relationship will work. Read the strengths and cautions sections more closely than the number: they describe where you are likely to understand each other and where communication needs attention.
Readings follow traditional interpretation and are for entertainment. They do not predict the future and are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Saju compatibility calculator free?
Yes. It is free and needs no signup or app.
What do I need to enter?
Both people's birth dates and genders. Birth hours are optional but make the chart more complete.
Can I use it if I do not know the birth hour?
Yes. Choose Unknown and the reading uses the year, month and day pillars. Hour-based details are less complete.
What does the compatibility score mean?
It summarises the calculated relationships between the two charts, such as the day master and five elements. It is a reference value and does not decide how a relationship turns out.
Is it the same as zodiac animal compatibility?
No. Zodiac animal matching uses only the birth year. Saju compatibility compares all the pillars, five elements and combinations or clashes.
Is there a Korean version?
